Please! No Tennis Shoes!
Going overseas? Packing your white sneakers? I hope not. Most people find that they are more comfortable wearing an athletic tennis shoe for all day walking while traveling and site seeing, but really all that tennis shoe is doing is absorbing some of the shock while walking on hard surfaces and can actually cause your foot to get tired or sore throughout the day. A regular tennis shoe has little to no actual support for your foot which is important in the correction and prevention of a variety of foot issues and general body pain. Now that I've told you not to take your sneakers I'm going to suggest some other great traveling shoes that will give you the style, support and comfort you really need.
At E.G.Geller Shoes I'd have to say a few of our top traveling shoes include the Thierry Rabotin 7502, the Mephisto Rush, and the Naot Matai and Kirei. For fall 2010 we also have the Mephiso Fennie among other great seasonal travel shoes. All of these shoes are lightweight, supportive and most likely handmade in some of the places you may be traveling.
